Do not waste your money on the maid gamepass if you have a job or are otherwise busy, it's a good social outlet and roleplay game but they are so quick to revoke it if you're inactive or leave their Discord server. You have to go to the Discord server to activate it, and no, you cannot become a maid again if they revoke your role unless you purchase their $30 gamepass again. The maids and other staff are sweet, but the creator has an odd attitude and it's hard to socially break into the group as it feels like there's a pre-established friend group within the entire server. A couple years back on another account I got publicly told off for "shaming people" infront of the entire chat in the Discord by the owner for genuinely nicely telling people to pace themselves if they need to, and to take care of themselves and not burn themselves out by playing for 6+ hours at a time. :,) It kind of ruined how I saw the game and it all just feels like a cashgrab on the owner's part. No real new updates most of the time unless it's a holiday, and being a maid gets stale and boring for a role that has activity requirements and it's practically inevitable that your $30 will be wasted considering that eventually you'll burn out and your role will be revoked from you unless you file for inactivity (which is heavily limited by the way, I personally had to quit fully because I was burnt out to the point where the brief break wasn't enough.) So yeah, it's fun for both orphans and maids for a certain amount of time if you manage to find your clique and friends, but it has no real replayability in the long run. As an orphan, you eat, do the daily hosted activity, sleep, try not to die at night, that's it. As a maid, it's slightly more engaging, but as said it still gets stale after a certain point as there are no meaningful features other than the social aspect. If you like social work games but don't want to spend the money or want the commitment, I heavily recommend Arctic's Kingdom.
